NNYC 152 Invitational Regatta

& Josh Beverlin Trophy Cup

The 152 Invitational is a buoy course, 3 race regatta, open to all sailors regardless of experience or homeport. For 2016 The Josh Beverlin Trophy will be awarded to the best overall adjusted time for Non-Spinnaker Keelboats. Josh Beverlin deeply loved sailing and his friends at the NNYC. -There will be one Spinnaker Division and one Non-Spinnaker using the Sailing Instructions and NNRF handicap system posted.

-Dinghies will start in their respective Spinnaker (e.g, Flying Scot) or Non-Spinnaker (E.g, Laser) Divisions.

-Non-club members without PHRF certificates may either apply for a NNRF rating or use the PHRF rating accepted in their home fleet. Boats without a PHRF Certificate that wish to race with a NNRF rating should apply at least two weeks prior to the race. Boats Racing PHRF Must Include a Photocopy of their PHRF Certificates or Home Fleet PHRF listing.

-The number of entries will determine the number of trophies in each Division. For 2016 The Josh Beverlin Trophy will be awarded to the best overall adjusted time for Non-Spinnaker Keelboats.

NNYC will hold the Josh Beverlin Banquet and Awards Ceremony in the dining room in Remington's Bar at the Riverwalk Hotel on Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Neenah.

 

-The Banquet will begin one hour after the last boat finishes. Admission to the event $15 in advance ($20 at door), including dinner.

-Menu is an Italian buffet featuring spicy chicken penne and Italian beef mostacholi. A vegetarian plate available is available on request on registration form. Alcoholic Drinks are available from the cash bar. 

-The banquet will feature a presentation by former North Sails pro Gerry Gavin: “Foul Winds and High Seas: A Tough World Championship in Japan.”

 

The Riverwalk Hotel is 3 blocks from the mooring wall at Riverside Park.  NNYC will make arrangements  for any participating boat to receive free overnight mooring on request.  Please note your need on the registration form.
